Kitchen Assistant

We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic part-time Kitchen Assistant who can help to provide the meals service at our Care Home in Coatbridge.
16-30 hours per week, working 2 x shift patterns over 7 days. 7.30am-2pm or 1pm - 7.30pm.

The ideal candidate will be experienced within a similar role, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work weekends. You will have a desire to deliver the highest possible standard within the role, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• To help prepare meals under the direction of the Chef
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are hygienically clean
• To load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand when required
• Helping the Chef ordering of supplies if required
• Being fully aware of food hygiene regulations
• Complying with infection control policies and procedures and following appropriate hand hygiene measures
